Sunprint gives Florida homeowners a free solar savings estimate and, if they ask for one, connects them with a licensed solar installer. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, and what happens to it.

What we collect

There are two separate stages, and they collect different things.

To show you an estimate, we ask for your ZIP code, your electric utility, whether you own the home, and your recent electric bill amount and its month. This is used to calculate a number on your screen.

Only if you request a quote call, we additionally collect your name, street address, city, phone number, email address, your rough timeline for going solar, and any optional notes you add.

Why we collect it

  • The estimate inputs are used to calculate your savings range, system size, and long-term projection.
  • The quote request details are used to connect you with one licensed solar installer who serves your area, so they can assess your roof and give you real pricing.

Who we share it with

If you request a quote call, we pass your details to one licensed solar installer. We do not sell your information to lead aggregators, and we do not distribute it to a list of competing companies. Sunprint receives a fee from the installer when a quote request is passed to them.

If you only use the calculator and never request a quote call, we do not share your information with any installer.

Calls and text messages

When you request a quote call, you check a box agreeing that a licensed solar installer partnered with Sunprint may contact you at the phone number and email you provided, including by phone or text. We record that you gave this consent, along with the exact wording you agreed to and the time you agreed.

You can opt out at any time by telling the installer directly, replying STOP to a text, or emailing us at the address below. Message and data rates may apply to texts sent by an installer.

Cookies and tracking

Sunprint does not run advertising trackers. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and measure how quickly pages load. Cloudflare states that it does not use cookies or local storage for this and does not fingerprint visitors by IP address or browser. It reports aggregate figures only, such as which pages are viewed, the sites that referred visitors, browser type and country. The calculator runs entirely in your browser. We load fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request, in the same way it would for any site using their fonts.

We also use Google Analytics 4 to see how people move through the site, for example which pages they read and at which step of the estimate they stop. It sets two cookies, _ga and one starting with _ga_, which last up to two years. Google says Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We never send it your name, street address, phone number, email or exact bill. For the estimate it receives only your utility, a rough bill range (such as $200 to $299) and the result category. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization for it. You can block it in your browser settings or with Google's opt-out browser add-on.

While you browse, the site keeps a short note in your browser's session storage of whether you've checked your savings (with the answers you gave, so you can see the estimate again) and whether you've requested a quote call. That's how the buttons stay in step from page to page. The note stays in your browser, is never sent to us, and is deleted when you close the browser.

If we add any other analytics or tracking, this page will be updated before we do.

How long we keep it

Quote requests are kept for as long as needed to connect you with an installer and to resolve any questions about that referral, and no longer than two years. Estimate inputs from people who never request a quote call are not stored by Sunprint.

Your rights

Under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights and similar laws, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what information we hold about you
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Delete your information
  • Stop sharing your information with installers

Email us and we will action it. We do not charge for this, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

Children

Sunprint is intended for homeowners and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

Quote requests are transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in access-restricted systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
